Welcome! Alper here. I worked as an E.R. doctor for nearly a year after receiving my medical degree in 2017. That year, I realized how important disease prevention and health education are in our job, and I wanted to focus on them. Patients were full of myths and misinformation regarding their health. I also wanted to learn more about global health issues and the pharmaceutical industry. Working for a global pharmaceutical company seemed to be a good option, but I needed to work in a fresh, dynamic, and relatively young area to make a difference.
Then I got the opportunity to work in the consumer healthcare division of the largest pharmaceutical company in my home country. As a medical manager, I worked with more than 250 sales representatives and over ten brands in the dermocosmetics, cold & flu, sexual health, and nutraceuticals categories for almost three years. I worked closely with the R&D and B&D departments and reviewed over 270 products. During the COVID pandemic, I worked actively for three different project groups and attended numerous meetings with companies all around the world. I even got to work with a team that was creating a product from the ground up.
When I initially began my new career, nutrition became the most intriguing category for me. We learned some cliches about eating healthy in medical school, but when I started researching nutrition, I realized there was so much more. There are already too many evidence-based recommendations for eating healthy, but we all know not everyone can follow them easily. Because there are numerous variables to consider.
Food quality, food diversity, cooking habits, and, most importantly, time are some of these. These variables change from one day to the next in a person’s life. A business trip or a vacation may interfere with your routine, or perhaps a pandemic appears out of thin air and changes your whole life, who knows? You can eliminate some of those variables by using nutraceuticals, which provide a more consistent source for a healthier life.
The COVID pandemic led to a greater awareness and usage of modern supplements, despite their existence for more than a century. The pandemic has served as a timely reminder of the value of maintaining good health and preventing illness. Furthermore, we learned that significant life changes could happen at any time and that our survival was dependent on our ability to adapt.
Luckily for us, the nutraceutical market is rapidly improving, with innovative solutions backed by science being developed on an ongoing basis. More effective and standardized products are being introduced, and various combinations from around the world are becoming accessible to us. With good guidance, staying healthy is much easier now. But, what is considered good guidance?
I’ve always enjoyed learning about my body and how life around us works. I love teaching about it. I believe understanding and embracing your body is extremely beneficial throughout your life. Also, I believe that the most important key to living a happier life is to live a healthier life. My goal is to create a reliable, entertaining, and useful guide that I will try to improve every day to share any useful knowledge I come across. I hope this guide assists you in getting to know your body and making the best decisions for it. Respect and cherish all forms of life around you, including yourself
Love,
Alper
